Week 6 scrog update, net is finally cooking
Alright so the net is sitting at about 75% full right now and i could not be happier with how the canopy is evening out. Running a 4x4 with a single mainlined Lemon Shining Silver Haze that i topped down to 8 mains before i ever introduced her to the screen. That structure made filling the net so much more predictable, every cola had a lane from the start.
The corners were lagging behind maybe 10 days ago, which always happens when you mainline because the growth is so symmetrical it tends to pile up in the center first. I just tucked the outer branches under the net and pinned them toward the corners, gave it about a week, and now those sites are almost level with everything else. Patience with the tucks is everything, you cannot rush a scrog.
Defoliation pass happened two days ago. Pulled anything blocking a net intersection from below and opened up probably 30 percent more light penetration into the lower canopy. The lowers were starting to show some real bud sites so i wanted to make sure they had a shot before i flip. Still clearing fan leaves that shade the interior as they come in.
Flipping to 12/12 in about 5 days once the last two corner squares fill in. Post a pic of your current net if you are in a similar stage, would love to see how others are managing the fill before flip.

Solid work on the structure, mainlining before the screen really does make the fill more controlled. That said, coming in late here with a slightly different take: i actually don't chase 75-80% fill before flip anymore. I used to, then i noticed my best smelling runs came when i flipped a little earlier, maybe 65-70%, and let stretch do the final corner work for me. The plant does it naturally in those first two weeks of 12/12 anyway, and it seemed like less stress going in translated to more expressive terp development in late flower. Could be confirmation bias, could be real, hard to say.
The Lemon SSH is a terp machine by the way, that strain can throw some seriously complex citrus and incense phenotypes. Curious if you've noticed any variation in smell between the 8 mains yet or are they reading pretty uniform? Sometimes you catch a hint early, before flip, of what's coming. My nose is basically always in the tent at this stage.
