Scrog update, net about 70% full going into week 4

Popped in to drop a quick update on the Northern Lights run i have going in the 3x3. Started filling the net at day 18 of veg and i'm sitting right around 70% coverage now heading into week 4. The canopy is looking pretty even across the middle but i still have some dead zones toward the back right corner that i need to pull a few more colas into before i flip.

The structure underneath is where i'm really happy right now. Did a mainline before the net went in so every main branch has a solid anchor point, and the bending has been real gradual since then. Nothing forced, just tucking and repositioning every couple days to guide growth horizontally. The internodal spacing on the lower stuff is tightening up nicely because of how the light is reaching down through the gaps.

I did a light defoliation pass yesterday, pulled maybe 15 leaves total from the mid canopy. Wasn't going crazy with it, just opening up some airflow and letting light hit a few bud sites that were getting buried. I try not to strip anything too aggressively this early, give the plant time to recover before flip.

Target is 90 percent before i hit 12/12. Probably another week of veg at this rate, maybe 10 days. Once that last corner fills i'll flip same day, no point waiting around after that.

Post a pic of your scrog if you've got one going, always curious to see how other people are managing their canopy spacing and anchor points.

Northern Lights is a solid pick for scrog, that strain just wants to spread. Good discipline on the gradual tucks, that's where a lot of people rush it and stress the plant more than they need to.

One thing i'll throw out there since everyone else probably told you to just hit 90% and flip: don't sleep on the smell coming out of that corner once you do. NL can vary a lot pheno to pheno and i've found the ones that fill a net a little slower tend to express more of that sweet, almost incense-like funk underneath the classic earthy base. The faster filling phenos i've run leaned woodier and simpler. Not saying yours is going to go that way, just worth paying attention when she starts stacking in flower.

Your defoliation approach sounds measured. 15 leaves mid canopy at this stage is nothing, you'll be fine before flip.
