Scrog net about 70% full, stretch still going

Post a pic of your scrog setups if you're running one right now. Always curious how other people space their nets, height off the pot, single net vs double layer. Running a 4x4 here with a 6 inch net height, works for me but i know people run them much tighter.

My scrog game is pretty average honestly, i don't optimize it for yield so take this with a grain of salt. What i DO care about is that the canopy stays open enough for airflow through flower because that directly affects how the terps develop in the lower buds. Smothered, humid canopies kill a lot of the subtlety in the smell profile, at least in my experience.

I run a single net around 10 inches off the pot, probably looser than most people here would recommend. Missed some yield for sure but the bud quality and the way the terps express has been consistently better for me than when i ran a tighter double net setup a few years back. Could be other variables, i won't pretend it's a controlled experiment.

What strains are you running? Certain phenos stretch way more aggressively and the net fills up fast before you even realize the plant is done moving. Always curious what people are working with when they post scrog shots.

The airflow logic makes sense, but I'd push back a little on attributing the terpene difference to net height specifically. VPD management through flower does more work for terpene expression than canopy openness alone, in my experience - you can run a tighter scrog and still protect that aromatic complexity if your humidity is dialed (I target 45-50% RH and 1.2-1.4 kPa through weeks 3-6). Loose net might just correlate with better airflow habits rather than being the cause.
