Why are my cannabis leaves turning yellow? First grow help!
Hey everyone, first time grower here. My plant is about 3 weeks old and the lower leaves are starting to turn yellow. The top looks healthy and green.
I'm growing in Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil, using a Mars Hydro TS1000 light at about 24 inches. Watering every 2-3 days when soil feels dry.
Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? Any help appreciated! π

This is actually normal for lower leaves! As the plant grows, it pulls nutrients from the bottom leaves to fuel new growth. It's called "natural senescence."
However, if it's spreading upward rapidly, you might have a nitrogen deficiency. What's your feeding schedule?
Ocean Forest is hot soil β it has enough nutrients for about 3-4 weeks. After that, you'll need to start feeding. Get a good cannabis-specific nutrient line and start at half strength.
Thanks everyone! I haven't been feeding at all β just water. Going to pick up some nutrients today. You guys are lifesavers!
