Did upgrading your lights actually make a noticeable difference?
I've been running a couple of blurple LED panels since I started about three years ago and they've done the job well enough, but i keep reading that a quality quantum board or HLG-style light is a total game changer. Finally bit the bullet last month and ordered one, and now i'm second-guessing myself waiting for it to arrive.
For context i'm in a 3x3 tent, running one plant at a time, pretty low pressure setup. The old lights weren't terrible, my Gorilla Zkittlez run last year came out decent. But i keep hearing guys say they didn't realize how much their old lights were holding them back until they switched.
Did any of you actually see a bump in yield or quality after upgrading, or is it more of a marginal thing and the real gains come from dialing in other stuff like VPD and feeding? Asking for a guy who may have just spent money he didn't need to spend before his wife noticed the credit card bill.
