Northern Lights was my first grow 8 years ago and I still grow it today. It's the perfect training-wheels strain. Forgiving, fast, and the smoke is classic. Can't go wrong.
my next order from theseedpharm
Just harvested my first Northern Lights Auto from RKS! Got 2.3oz from one plant. I made so many mistakes (overwatered, wrong pH, light too close) and it STILL produced great bud. This strain is literally beginner-proof.
Blue Dream deserves the #2 spot. It's the most grown strain in North America for a reason. Even if you mess up the grow, you'll still get decent quality. And when you dial it in, it's absolutely phenomenal.
For medical beginners, I'd add Cannatonic to this list. It's a CBD-dominant strain that's very easy to grow and provides therapeutic benefits without overwhelming psychoactive effects. Great starter for medical growers.
Watermelon back in 1978/79
Watermelon was everywhere that first season, good memory. Half the guys I knew were running it because seed was cheap and it didn't complain much. Forgiving is the right word for it.
cheap seed used to mean something different. back then cheap just meant oversupply, not garbage genetics. hard to find that combination now.
