Cannabis leaves curling up like tacos – heat stress?

My leaves are curling up along the edges, making them look like taco shells. The tent temperature is around 85°F with the lights on. Is this heat stress? How do I fix it without buying an AC unit?

85°F is too hot for most cannabis. Ideal range is 72-80°F during lights on.

Fixes WITHOUT an AC unit:

  1. Raise your light higher (less radiant heat)
  2. Increase extraction fan speed
  3. Run lights at night when ambient temps are lower
  4. Add a clip fan for air circulation
  5. Leave the tent slightly unzipped for more airflow

The taco-curling is your plant trying to reduce surface area exposed to heat. It'll recover quickly once temps drop.

Also check your VPD. At 85°F you need higher humidity (around 60%) to keep VPD in the right range. Low humidity + high heat is a double stress on the plant.

Running lights at night is the easiest free fix. My tent drops 10°F just by switching to a nighttime light schedule during summer months.
