LED vs HPS in 2026 — is HPS still relevant?
LED has clearly won the technology war but some old-school growers still swear by HPS for flower density and quality. Is there any truth to HPS being better for certain applications?

HPS is a dinosaur, like me.
LED lights are programable now, so you can pick what color of the spectrum you want, effectively imitating an HPS light.
New COB (circuit on board) LED lights have the drivers built into the circuit board with massive heat sinks, so the power draw $ and heat being generated is minimal.
