Kelp meal in your ACT changes everything mid-veg

Been brewing actively aerated compost teas for a few years now, and i kept rotating inputs trying to figure out why some batches just felt more alive than others. Turned out kelp meal was the missing piece, at least for veg-stage applications.

The cytokinins in kelp seem to really wake up the bacterial populations during the brew. I run about a tablespoon of kelp meal per gallon of water, alongside a teaspoon of unsulfured molasses and a small amount of worm castings as my inoculant base. Brew it 24-36 hours with a decent air pump, no more. Past that window you start losing the good guys.

Soil response after a few applications was noticeably different. The top inch or so started looking more alive, little white mycelial threads showing up at the soil surface, and the plants just stopped asking for anything. That's always the sign for me that the biology is doing its job.

Apply it as a root drench right when you water, early morning if you can. UV will knock back living organisms fast so getting it into the soil quickly matters. One application every 10 days or so through veg has been my rhythm and it's been working well.
